Current Steering Committee Roles

Garden Administrator — Liaison with outside groups, enables agenda setting, sets garden day tasks agenda, and problem solving.

Chicken Team Coordinator  — Manages chicken team, lays out how the chickens are to be cared for, trains new chicken tenders, and responds to other needs.

Treasurer — Maintains the garden’s budget, coordinates with the BANG treasurer, and handles reimbursements, grants, and non-event fundraising.

Membership coordinator — Answers general info queries, maintains membership spreadsheet, and gives new member orientations.

Community Plants and Plots Coordinator — Determines what to plant, manages a team of workers who maintain the collective work (sowing, weeding, framing, harvesting).

Plots Coordinator — Manages individual plots and monitors compliance with responsibilities outlined in individual plot contracts.

Children’s Coordinator —  Plans children activities and teaches children garden etiquette.

 

Non-committee Team Roles

Communications Coordinator — Manages all member communications: emails, website, and post cards.

Social Media Coordinator — Manages social media accounts.

Compost Coordinator — Manages team, keeps compost center in working order, and maintains a relationship w/PSFC.

Events Coordinator — Manages requests to hold events in the garden.

Fundraising Coordinator— Focuses on potential revenue sources or donations for the garden. Organizes and staffs bake sale, plant sale, and other activities.

Open Hours Coordinator — Maintains Open Hours schedule and monitors team members’ shifts. Focuses on ensuring that the garden is open for at least 6 hours every weekend day during the season (April through November), and 20 hours a week total.

 

BANG Representative  — The BANG rep represents the garden at the land trust that holds our deed, attends the BANG monthly meeting, informs steering committee and/or garden members of important messages.

BANG Alt — Represents the garden if the BANG rep is unavailable.
