The Warren-St. Marks Community Garden is looking for garden members to participate in the:

FIRST Annual Urban Farmy Olympics (Part of the Harvest Fair)
Location: Garden of Happiness, Prospect Ave between 181st & 182nd Streets, Bronx, NY

Teams must include: Members of your community garden · At least 2 youth · At least 2 elders · At least 6 people total

Win prizes, make a name for your garden and earn bragging rights.

Come out and enjoy a day of festivities, good food, good music and a chance to hear our local elected officials and Parks personnel address the current state of community gardens and urban farms in our city.

Urban Farmy Olympics events may include:
· Wheel barrow Obstacle Course · Potato Sack Race · Veggie Toss
· Flower Arranging · Apple Bobbing · Compost Turning Race
· Three-legged From Seed-to-Harvest Race · Bocci Tournament · and MUCH more!

Other categories include: Team Spirit - Be the most creative team in coming up with a name, cheer, team costumes, or any other form of team spirit!

Community Organizing & Fund Raising - Raise funds with your team! The money teams collect will go into a Community Organizing and Advocacy Fund, which will allow for more gardens to participate in advocacy work.
